METHODS

Four ways a row can arrive.

Zapier: Create Spreadsheet Row

Works with thousands of apps. Put column names in row 1 and avoid blank rows: Zapier adds after the last row with values. On Zapier’s Free plan, polling triggers check every 15 minutes; Professional every 2 minutes; Team and Enterprise every minute. Some apps are premium.

Make: Add a Row

Similar to Zapier, with visual scenarios and per-operation pricing. Choose “Insert rows”, and keep headers in row 1.

Google Apps Script web app (webhooks)

For tools that send webhooks. Deploy a small script as a web app with a doPost function that appends a row. Free, but you maintain it. Mind Google’s Apps Script quotas.

Built-in integrations

Google Forms, Typeform, Jotform, Tally, Squarespace, Wix, HubSpot (Professional and up), Airtable (paid plans) and Shopify Flow can write rows directly, with no middleware.

Two things that don’t work well as triggers. IMPORTRANGE and IMPORTDATA refresh a range rather than adding rows, and one-off CSV imports are better sent as a campaign than a journey.

Google Sheets holds up to 20 million cells per spreadsheet (Google doubled the limit in September 2026). Some tools set lower limits for their own integrations; start a new sheet each year for busy forms.
