1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out what you may not do with ConvoHut. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone using your account. It works alongside Meta’s WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and Commerce Policy, which also apply to you.
2. Consent and contacts
- Message only people who have given the consent required by law and by Meta to receive WhatsApp messages from your business.
- Don’t use bought, rented, borrowed, harvested or scraped phone numbers, or lists collected for another purpose without consent.
- Keep records of consent and be able to provide them to us or a regulator on request.
- Don’t message people who have opted out, on WhatsApp or anywhere else.
3. Message content and conduct
- Identify your business accurately in every message.
- Include a working opt-out in marketing messages and honour it straight away.
- Don’t submit promotional content as utility or authentication templates.
- Don’t send misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful or sexually explicit content.
- Don’t impersonate another person or business, or send phishing or scam messages.
- Don’t ask people to share full payment card numbers, financial account numbers, passwords or government ID numbers in chats.
- Don’t send messages at unreasonable times. Respect quiet hours in each market.
- Don’t send health, financial or other sensitive information about people in marketing messages.
4. Restricted businesses and products
Don’t use ConvoHut to promote or sell goods or services that Meta prohibits or restricts in the relevant country, including weapons, illegal or recreational drugs, tobacco and vaping products, adult content, gambling (except where Meta and the law allow), multi-level marketing, payday loans and other high-risk financial products, counterfeit goods and unlicensed regulated services.
5. AI and automation
- Give people a clear way to reach a human.
- Where the law requires, such as the EU AI Act from 2 August 2026, tell people when they are interacting with an AI system.
- Don’t use ConvoHut to offer a general-purpose AI assistant or chatbot service to the public. Meta prohibits this.
6. Security and the platform
- Don’t attempt to access accounts, data or systems you’re not authorised to access.
- Don’t probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written permission. Report issues to us instead.
- Don’t overload, disrupt or reverse engineer the Service, or use it to send malware.
- Don’t share log-ins between people; invite each team member.
7. What happens if the AUP is breached
We may investigate, remove content, pause journeys or campaigns, suspend or close accounts, and cooperate with Meta, regulators and law enforcement. Where practicable, we’ll tell you and give you a chance to fix the problem first. See the Suspension section of our Terms.
8. Reporting abuse
If you received an unwanted message from a business that uses ConvoHut, reply STOP to that business, and report it to us at abhishek@convohut.com with the sender’s name and number. You can also block and report the business in WhatsApp.
