ConvoHut
About ConvoHut

We spent years helping businesses create demand. ConvoHut started with what happened next.

For more than a decade we have worked behind digital agencies and the businesses they support — building websites and software, running campaigns, connecting CRMs, improving ecommerce. We became very familiar with one half of the customer journey. This company exists because of the other half.

The gap we kept seeing

The marketing often worked. The conversation that should have followed did not.

A customer had done something meaningful. They had given the business a signal. And too often that signal disappeared into another system.

After seeing it happen again and again, it stopped looking like a small execution issue. It looked like a gap in the way businesses manage customer intent.

The signal

  • A customer adds something to their cart and leaves
  • A lead submits a form and waits
  • Someone requests a quote
  • A prospect asks a simple question
  • A previous customer shows interest again

What usually happens next

  • Maybe an email goes out later
  • Maybe a salesperson follows up manually
  • Maybe the CRM creates a task
  • Maybe nobody notices

Sometimes the customer simply moved on.

ConvoHut did not start with the idea of building another WhatsApp tool

It started with a question: what if businesses could respond to customer intent while that intent was still there?

What if an abandoned cart could automatically start the right conversation?

What if a new lead did not have to wait for someone to notice a notification?

What if a customer could reply, ask a question and continue buying without starting again?

What if follow-up happened automatically, without feeling like another broadcast?

And what if the business could see whether those conversations actually created revenue?

That is the problem we are building ConvoHut to solve.

The model

Signal. Journey. Conversation. Conversion.

Then learn from what happened and improve the next interaction.

A cart abandonment is a signal. A quote request is a signal. A product view, a repeat visit, a customer going quiet, a reply — all signals. ConvoHut is being built around those moments.

See how it works

We are not trying to help businesses send more messages

Businesses already have plenty of ways to send messages. That is not the interesting problem. The interesting problem is knowing when a conversation should begin, what it should be about, and what should happen next.

We are starting with WhatsApp because customers already use it naturally. It is immediate, familiar, and it supports real conversation. But we do not believe the future is sending traditional campaigns through a different channel. If businesses use WhatsApp exactly like email, they miss most of what makes it useful.

A customer can respond. They can ask something. They can hesitate, change direction, or tell you what they actually need. The system should be able to react to that.

There is no sales team. If you write, you are writing to me.

Built from years inside the agency world

I founded Alite Projects in 2014. Over the years we grew a team across development, digital marketing, SEO, quality assurance, software and digital delivery. Much of that work happened behind other agencies.

That gives you a different view of marketing. You do not only see the campaign. You see what happens after it goes live.

What you see from behind the agency

  • The lead nobody called
  • The form sitting in a CRM
  • The customer who asked a question and never got a quick answer
  • The client asking why marketing generated traffic but not enough sales
  • Teams manually moving information between tools
  • Agencies trying to prove the commercial value of the work they deliver

Those experiences shaped how we think about ConvoHut. We are building it not only for marketers, but with an understanding of what happens around marketers — sales teams, customer service, agencies, developers, CRM teams, business owners.

The customer does not care which department owns the next step. They just expect the business to respond.

Who is behind ConvoHut?

ConvoHut is founded by Abhishek Mehta in Melbourne, Australia. He also founded Alite Projects in 2014, a digital delivery business that has worked as a white-label partner behind other agencies for more than a decade across development, marketing, SEO, CRM and QA.

Key takeaways

  • More than a decade working behind digital agencies.
  • Alite Projects founded 2014; ConvoHut founded 2026.
  • The team spans software, marketing, CRM, QA and agency operations.
  • Independent software company, not affiliated with Meta.

Why the mix matters

We do not see ConvoHut only as a technology problem. Technology is one part of it. The harder question is: what should happen when a customer shows intent?

That requires understanding marketing, sales, customer behaviour, the systems businesses already run — and what marketers and agencies can realistically operate every day.

What we believe

These shape what gets built and what does not. If you disagree with most of them, we are probably not the right platform for you — and that is worth finding out on the first call.

01

Customer intent should not sit idle

When someone shows buying intent, timing matters. The business should be able to respond while that intent still means something — not on the next campaign day.

02

Marketing should connect to commercial outcomes

Messages sent are not the goal. Traffic is not the goal. Even leads are not the final goal. The question is what happened because of the activity: did someone purchase, book, respond, return, renew?

03

Automation should make conversations better

It should remove unnecessary manual work. It should not make the customer experience feel robotic. Those two things are easy to confuse and expensive to get wrong.

04

AI should support the journey, not become the story

AI can make customer conversations faster and more useful. But customers do not buy because a platform says it has AI. They buy because the experience works.

05

Businesses should respond to behaviour, not schedules

The best time to communicate is usually decided by what the customer just did — not because Tuesday at 10am happened to be campaign day.

06

Say what is built, and what is not

We are pre-launch. Every page on this site labels what exists, what is being built and what is only under consideration. It costs us some deals. It is still the right trade.

How we make money, plainly

Worth knowing, because in this category the business model usually explains the product behaviour.

Our only revenue

A platform subscription

You pay us for the software: signals, journeys, two-way conversations, AI inside your rules, segmentation and attribution. That is the whole commercial relationship.

What we deliberately do not take

A cut of your message costs

Many platforms resell WhatsApp message credits at a markup. It is invisible on a pricing page and it grows as you grow. We do not, because you hold the Meta account.

This matters beyond the invoice. A vendor earning a percentage of your message volume has a quiet interest in you sending more messages. Ours is the opposite: we only keep customers whose journeys convert, which means fewer and better-timed messages.

See what Meta actually charges

Five things we will not do

A pre-launch company cannot prove much. What it can do is be specific about the things it refuses to do, and then be held to them.

If you catch us breaking one of these, tell me directly.

  • We will not invent proof

No customer logos, testimonials, star ratings or performance percentages until they are real and we have written permission. Any figure you see in a product interface on this site is sample data and is labelled as such.

  • We will not mark up your messages

You hold the Meta billing relationship. There is nothing between you and Meta's rate card, and nothing for us to quietly take a percentage of.

  • We will not hold your number hostage

The WhatsApp number, the Meta Business account and the approved templates are yours. Leave and they are unaffected.

  • We will not sell you the roadmap as the product

If something is not built, the site says so and the roadmap page says when we expect it. You should be able to check us rather than trust us.

  • We will tell you when we are not the fit

If what you need is bulk broadcasting, a support helpdesk or a white-labelled platform today, we will say so on the call rather than three weeks into a pilot.

  • We will publish what we know

The playbooks on this site are free and ungated. If the logic is useful and you build it on another platform, that is a fair outcome.

For agencies

We know what agencies need, because we have been the agency behind the agency

Agencies are under constant pressure to create measurable client outcomes. A new software subscription by itself does not solve that. The software has to help the agency build a service around it — something they can implement, manage, report on, improve, and ideally turn into recurring revenue.

Because Alite Projects has spent years working as a white-label partner, this is not a theory for us. Our long-term intention is for ConvoHut to help agencies build conversational marketing into their own service offering — not simply by handing over a referral link, but by giving them something they can genuinely sell and manage for clients.

Where that stands today, honestly

That is the intention, not the current product. What exists today is a referral arrangement: you introduce a client, they hold their own ConvoHut account and their own WhatsApp number, and you earn commission on the platform revenue while continuing to bill separately for audit, build and management.

Multi-client workspaces and white-label are on the roadmap, not in the product. Referral partners move across first when they ship. We would rather lose a deal over that than have you find out in month three.

Two different white-labels

Worth separating, because the words collide.

Alite Projects delivers white-label digital work behind other agencies. That is an existing business with more than a decade of history.

ConvoHut white-label — your branding inside the platform for your clients — is a roadmap item and does not exist yet.

One informs the other. Neither should be mistaken for the other.

From the founder

I have spent much of my career helping agencies and businesses execute digital work. For years the focus was often on getting more people into the journey. More traffic. More leads. More enquiries. More opportunities.

ConvoHut comes from spending enough time around that work to realise that sometimes the bigger opportunity is not getting one more person into the funnel. It is doing a better job with the person who is already there.

Someone has already shown interest. They have already taken an action. They are already giving you a reason to talk to them. The business should be ready for that moment.

That is what we want ConvoHut to help solve.

Questions this raises

Who founded ConvoHut?

Abhishek Mehta, in Melbourne. He also founded Alite Projects in 2014, a digital delivery business that has worked as a white-label partner behind other agencies across development, marketing, SEO, CRM and QA.

Is ConvoHut related to Alite Projects?

They share a founder and more than a decade of accumulated experience, and Alite's work behind agencies is a large part of the thinking behind ConvoHut. They are separate businesses.

How big is the team?

Small and founder-led on ConvoHut itself, drawing on a team whose backgrounds span software, marketing, SEO, QA, CRM, data and agency operations. Abhishek is directly involved in every early setup.

Are you funded?

Funding status is not something we publish, and it should not change your decision. What matters commercially is that you hold your own WhatsApp number, your own Meta billing and your own data, so your channel does not depend on us still being here.

Why should I trust a pre-launch company with my customer conversations?

Partly by structure and partly by evidence. Structurally, the number and the Meta account stay in your name, so the switching cost is low by design. On evidence, judge us on a sixty-day pilot against a metric you choose, not on a pitch.

Do you have customers I can talk to?

Not yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. When early access customers have results worth discussing and give permission, we will publish them with methodology attached.

Where is my data held?

In your ConvoHut workspace. It remains your data, it is exportable, and it is deleted on request. The security and data page states what is currently implemented and which certifications are still in progress.

Can I speak to the founder directly?

Yes. Email abhishek@convohut.com. There is no sales team, so it comes straight to him.

The next conversation could already be waiting.

Your customers are showing intent every day. ConvoHut is being built to help you recognise those moments and turn them into conversations that move the customer forward.
