Good practice.
- Put “Reply STOP to opt out” in the footer of every marketing template.
- Accept any reasonable wording: stop, unsubscribe, no more, remove me.
- Stop straight away. Don’t wait for the legal deadline.
- Send one confirmation, then nothing more: “You won’t get marketing messages from Northline on WhatsApp.”
- Record opt-outs from other channels too, such as email or phone requests.
- Keep sending essential service messages only if the person still wants them, and never with promotions.
